Our Purpose
We live in chaotic, uncertain and unpredictable times. The climate crisis looms large, and we sit within an epidemic of emotional disconnection; from each other and from the rest of Nature. Modern society ‘teaches’ us to seek solace in doing, achieving and consuming, further fuelling structural inequalities, ecological destruction and collective misery.
We felt the therapy and consulting room can at times be insufficient and inadequate at addressing people’s deeper needs and concerns.
We had a longing to do more.
In the words of the eco-philosopher Joanna Macy, “the most radical thing any of us can do at this time is to be fully present to what is happening in the world.”
We wanted our work to embody this, wholeheartedly. We do not see ourselves as detached ‘experts’, with ‘clever’ solutions to individual problems. Rather, we are fellow human beings finding a path together.
And in doing so, may we find Embers of Hope.
